Wickham house affords easy access to the Lincolnshire coast. There is a bird reserve at Tetney Haven, a colony of grey seals at Donna Nook and Marsh Orchids at Rumac. The battle of Britain Memorial Flight based at R.A.F. Coningsby, is open to the public and has the only flying Lancaster (City of Lincoln) in its care. Nearby is Tattershall Castle run by the National Trust. Woodhall Spa has a special Victorian appeal. There are antique centres at Horncastle and Hemswell. Snipedales Country Park, Old Bolingbroke Castle and 'Tennyson Country' all contribute to the peace and beauty of this quite corner of England

Further afield is the important City of Lincoln with its Cathedral and Castle. Gainsborough Old Hall, the Fishing Heritage Centre at Grimsby and the Humber Bridge.
